In many ways, good small space design means adopting a new mindset, understanding how buildings work and the spatial changes that are possible. In this model condo, the best solution arose only when both sides of the equation were properly explored and digested. This 875sf condo was designed to accommodate the future owner’s needs but also providing room to personalize.

To provide openness and unity by dividing the condo into zones defining the living spaces.

Decoration was kept light and as limited as possible. Wall and ceilings were painted white and a walnut floor was laid across the space diagonally to increase the visual width. The flooring extends throughout the entire area to create a sense of continuity.

The condo

won the Grohe Winning Design Award for best kitchen in Canada, but more importantly the design was also revered and much loved by the developer and the buyer.
